With advancements in digital X-ray technology, we can now manipulate digital images obtained from a pet’s X-ray procedure to determine what is wrong. This has enabled us to find previously undetectable conditions that may have been too insignificant to be detected by traditional X-rays, such as hairline fractures and orthopedic conditions.
Your pet’s bones, gastrointestinal tract (stomach, intestines, colon), respiratory tract (lungs), heart, and genitourinary system (bladder, prostate) are all routinely examined using radiology (x-rays). Radiology can be used alone or in conjunction with other diagnostic tools to generate a list of potential causes for a pet’s condition, identify the exact cause of a problem, or rule out potential problems.
Our staff is highly trained in this safe procedure and the interpretation of the X-rays. Our goal is to provide your pet with the best medical care possible, and this is just one of the many ways we do so.
